My wooden chalet collection. First three are music boxes, the fourth is a weather house. I also have a similar cuckoo clock very kindly given to me by @arlenesays but it's not up at the moment due to Christmas decorations jogging all the picture hooks!

The Third Day of Kitschmas

Continuing the 12 days of kitsch delights from my own home, the faux taxidermy flamingo.

Flamingoes are kitsch, taxidermy is twee, but to get the two together, well I've only seen one on eBay once, and it cost a bomb.

Summer 2010, UK High Street store Monsoon used these full-size, fake taxidermy flamingoes in their window displays.
Monsoon have a policy of releasing large decorative items for sale after they are removed from display, so I was in the second I saw them asking to out my name down for one.

12 Days of Kitschmas Day One

When I started this blog, every post was an item from my own home. The past few months the pieces have been from elsewhere, due to me running out of physical room to home new treasures here!

For the many readers I've gained in the past six months, I've decided to revisit twelve of my favourite kitsch items I actually own. So over Christmas, please enjoy my own kitsch collection.
