Disney Halloween Countdown ‘Advent’ Calendars

A few years ago I found a cute, little paper Halloween ‘advent’ calendar on Amazon. It was a US import, and was like the chocolate-less, picture advent calendars from the 80s and 90s.

It was cool, but then last Halloween when browsing the Disney Store I spied this 3D countdown calendar, and grabbed one after October in the sale.

For 2022 they have a new design for the Mickey & Minnie countdown (shown below), plus a Nightmare Before Christmas design one too.

Speaking of Christmas, they also have a festive version to buy now, but with it priced at £45 each, I think I’ll be bookmarking it for the January sales!

Halloween 2022- Mid-September Round Up Of Fun Finds

I’ve been picking up autumn bits and bobs since July! TK Maxx had the first Halloween items in stores from the first week of the summer. Of course I love this, and this is a post to share some things I’ve spotted this week, mid-September 2022.

The first is this cute pair of Pumpkin Spice Latte pyjamas from George at Asda. They even have scented candles on them, so it’s a very ‘me’ pair of jammies.

George always have a fantastic range of Halloween pyjamas, if you scroll down you will see a post I did earlier of this year’s matching family pairs.

Next up is this Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Glow in the Dark nail polish, in the colour ‘Ghosted’. It costs £4.99 and I found it in my local Boots. It’s also available online.

It’s very translucent when applied, so I ended up putting in on as a top coat over another colour when I saw how see-through it was going to be. It does glow in the dark, I tried it out last night!

One downside, it has a peculiar smell. I don’t know if it’s Sally Hansen’s formula, as I haven’t bought a varnish from this brand in years, or if it’s the glow in the dark element, but it does have a weird whiff about it.

Finally for this week, I was delighted to find that Yankee Candle U.K. have released a Halloween scent for 2022.

Witches’ Brew has a beautifully sweet patchouli scent which I am very keen on. I loved the old Yankee Candle Patchouli candle that was discontinued, and that is wildly expensive to try to buy on eBay, so I will be stocking up on this fragrance.

I bought mine from Temptation Gifts where it was on offer for £22.39. It is currently out of stock there, but you can add your email to be notified when it’s back in stock to purchase. It’s also available on the Yankee Candle U.K. site, but I haven’t spotted it in their physical stores as yet,

Instant Pumpkin Spice Lattes At Home On Tap, With Califia Farms Cold Brew

If like me you struggle to make a pumpkin spice latte at home that rivals Starbucks, Califia Farms have you covered! Their brand new cold brew flavour for autumn 2022 is Pumpkin Spice with Almond. It’s vegan, so everyone can try a mug! I even heated mine up and added some Asda chocolate spray cream on top to make it extra fancy.

It is available now in selected Asda stores, and will also be in Sainsbury’s soon too. If you are in Northern Ireland, selected Spar stores are stocking it in their chilled aisle. There it’s just £2.50 for a 750ml bottle, cheaper than a single, coffee chain, pumpkin spice latte!

If pumpkin spice isn’t your thing, they also have a range of other flavours year round. I spotted on the US Califia Farms website that they have seasonal varieties for Christmas too, including Peppermint Mocha and Holiday Nog (eggnog). Hoping these reach our shores this December too.
